Cyber/E&O Senior Risk Analyst

The primary function of the Underwriter is to evaluate individual risks by demonstrating the following competencies:
- Understanding of Coverage. Ability to provide coverage options, terms, and conditions that ensure profitability for the organization while addressing client needs.
- Risk Evaluation. Capability to identify risk exposures, unique or common hazards, and suitable controls. Proficient in selecting risks based on exposure and risk assessment, as well as analyzing claims and quantifying losses.
- Financial Acumen. Comprehension of financial statements and ratios utilized in risk evaluation. Knowledge of insurance financial principles; understanding the influence of underwriting choices on company assets. Ability to assess credit risk.
- Actuarial Knowledge. Proficiency in understanding loss trends, loss triangles, and rate-making processes. Ability to quantify risk based on historical data and forecasting techniques.
- Sales and Communication Skills. Ability to effectively market and negotiate to achieve profitability for the organization. Capable of delivering presentations and communicating clearly. Ability to base communications on strategic insights and manage producer strategies.
- Technical Proficiency. Competence in utilizing systems and software applications essential for daily operations.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Soliciting new and renewal submissions from brokers.
- Conducting marketing meetings, office visits, and events to generate business.
- Determining terms, conditions, and complex rating structures.
- Binds coverage.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of underwriting files.
- Managing more complex files and portfolios within underwriting authority.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience, preferably in the Cyber Insurance sector.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven technical expertise in Cyber insurance products.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in sales, marketing, and negotiation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
