We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Retina Group of Florida. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration process for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information, and register patients for clinical services.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, and notify patients and referring physicians of any issues.
- Financial Clearance: Obtain and enter financial information necessary for patient accounts, and collect payments as needed.
- Communication: Collaborate with scheduling departments to identify add-on patients, and communicate with patients and families to obtain missing information.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and documentation in our system of record.
- Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Proven work experience as a Patient Access Representative; minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Skills: Strong administrative and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems, ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
