  • DEPARTMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY & VISUAL SCIENCES The Sargeant Health Center is in search of a glaucoma-focused ophthalmologist with a strong academic orientation to join its esteemed faculty.
This is a full-time, open-rank position within a clinician-educator track.

The primary clinical responsibilities will be conducted at the Eye Institute, with potential for additional half-days at affiliated clinics. Faculty members also provide clinical services at various healthcare facilities, with numerous opportunities to mentor and teach residents in Ophthalmology.

The department is a physician-led group comprising a diverse team of professionals, including 36 physicians, nine optometrists, and five research PhDs.

Successful candidates should demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, refined interpersonal abilities, and a strong commitment to the academic mission of the institution.

Applicants must be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology, have completed a Glaucoma Fellowship, be eligible for medical licensure, and possess an interest in clinical or basic science research, which may be supported with initial funding.
