Position Overview:

Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide to contribute to our mission of providing a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms to maintain a sanitary atmosphere.
  • Prepare areas for patient discharge and surgical procedures, ensuring thorough end-of-day cleaning.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public spaces, including offices and common areas, while managing waste disposal effectively.
  • Respond promptly to spills and breakages to mitigate safety hazards.
  • Complete special assignments as directed by supervisors, adhering to departmental standards.
  • Understand and follow protocols regarding the security of medications and IV solutions.
  • Restock supplies and manage linen distribution to support patient care needs.
  • Utilize cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently to promote safety and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum age of 16 years.

Preferred Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capability to lift and carry moderate to heavy items.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic understanding of safety and sanitation standards.
