Battery Assembly Technician Role at XL Batteries

We are seeking a skilled Battery Assembly Technician to join our team at XL Batteries, a Massachusetts-based scientific research company developing next-generation battery technology for grid-level energy storage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test various flow battery components and systems, following standard operation procedures and test protocols.
  • Record accurate data, analyze, and report the results.
  • Think critically about how to improve the test and assembly process with an eye to performance, reliability, durability, throughput, and cost.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or associates degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or Five (5) or more years of direct experience in a technician role.
  • Comfort in and familiarity with a laboratory or industrial work environment.
  • Good computer and software skills required (MS Excel advanced user level).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering and electrochemistry is a plus.
  • Experience with flow batteries, fuel cells, or other battery testing is a plus.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
