About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Hospital for Behavioral Medicine. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous patient care and supervision, interacting with patients and role-modeling positive behaviors.
  • Take and record vital signs accurately and document any changes in patient condition.
  • Communicate effectively with the charge nurse and treatment team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and ensure awareness of patient individualized plans of care.
  • Document treatment plans, nursing interventions, and patient responses to interventions.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred, or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness.
  • CPR certification and CPI training within 30 days of employment.
