Site Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Site Manager to lead our Day Habilitation Services program at AHRC Nassau. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized habilitation plans, coordinating activities, and supervising staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our program participants.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized habilitation plans in collaboration with program volunteers and staff.
- Coordinate on-site and community-based activities to promote socialization, skill-building, and personal growth.
- Supervise and support Assistant Managers and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure high-quality care and services.
- Oversee transportation and logistics to ensure safe and efficient movement of participants and staff.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and service coordinators to ensure seamless support and services.
- Provide direct support services to program participants as needed, including assistance with daily living tasks and activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants and staff, reporting any incidents or concerns to administration.
- Manage physical plant maintenance, furniture, equipment, and supplies to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Attend meetings, conduct observations, and consult with staff to discuss participant progress, problems, and individual needs.
- Train and support volunteers to engage in tasks related to functional and meaningful activities.
- Promote and reinforce agency philosophies and guiding principles.
- Complete and maintain required trainings and certifications to ensure compliance and best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Good oral and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Qualified NYS driver's license and ability to maintain during employment.
- AMAP/CPR/First Aid/SCIP-R and defensive driving training preferred.
This role may require lifting and transferring of adult participants, as well as transportation and driving duties. A qualified NYS driver's license is required and must be maintained during employment.
