Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect/Designer to join our New York design team in our Manhattan or Woodbury office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, project management, and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead the design and development of multiple concurrent small-to-medium scale architectural projects from concept through construction.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with clients, consultants, and teammates to meet project objectives. Take initiative on problem-solving and get ahead of potential obstacles.
  • Design and Documentation: Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Think critically and tackle large and small deliverables with passion.
  • Construction Administration: Oversee construction administration to ensure projects are built according to design intent and quality standards. Be someone your team can count on to follow through and take ownership of your project sets.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Delegate to, and mentor, junior staff and provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Be generous in sharing your knowledge and respect your peers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Architecture.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design and project management in a NY based consulting firm.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, Office Suite, and other relevant design software. Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction techniques.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. A licensed architect in NY preferred but not required.
