APRN Clinical Specialist

Job Summary:
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing advanced level nursing care to patients in the office, HOPD, and inpatient/outpatient hospital setting. The APRN Clinical Specialist exercises autonomy in medical decision making, collaborating with physicians and other clinical staff to meet the needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical assessment, medical decisions, and plans of care for patients.
- Collaborates with physicians and other clinical staff to meet patient needs.
- Documents patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Participates in billing and coding processes.
- Provides education to patients and their support systems.
Requirements:
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner from an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Eligible for professional liability insurance.
- Current valid and unrestricted license to practice as an APRN in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
