Location: Detroit, MI (onsite)

Compensation: $43 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Powdered Metal Product Engineer to join our esteemed Engineering team at TechLink Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to clarify project specifications and requirements.
  • Contribute to the business development process by designing and developing powdered metal components and systems tailored for automotive applications.
  • Conduct rigorous performance and durability assessments to ensure that products and processes meet or exceed established performance criteria.
  • Analyze test data to refine design and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, addressing production challenges as they arise.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify materials and components that align with design specifications.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements to drive continuous improvement in product performance.
  • Participate actively in design reviews and contribute to product enhancement initiatives.
  • Adhere strictly to quality standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Implement engineering modifications and enhancements to improve product functionality.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in product engineering, particularly in powdered metal applications.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for design and analytical purposes.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with diverse groups.
Required Skills:
  • CAD software proficiency – 4 years
  • Experience with Siemens NX (Unigraphics) – 4 years
  • Familiarity with TeamCenter – 4 years
