Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking an exceptional Per Diem Audiologist to join our team in Frisco, Texas. As a key member of our audiologist team, you will be responsible for providing out-patient services, focusing on diagnosing hearing loss for all pediatric ages.

You will work closely with children, their families, speech pathologists, school personnel, specialists, and physicians to recommend and implement a plan that enhances a child's functional hearing to facilitate learning and development.

Our audiologists specialize in serving children who have been unable to complete routine audiology testing in traditional settings. You will provide behavioral audiometry, auditory brainstem response, otoacoustic emissions, infant newborn hearing screenings, evaluation and selection of hearing aids, FM systems, other assistive listening devices, custom ear plugs for swimming and noise protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose hearing loss for pediatric patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to enhance hearing function
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and consultation to patients, caregivers, and professionals

Requirements:

  • Clinical Doctorate degree in Audiology or PhD in Audiology
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • CPR certification
  • State license for Audiology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in audiology (ASHA) or Board Certified in Audiology (ABA)
