Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Billing Specialist to join our team at Cherry Coatings. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate billing and contract documentation for assigned projects.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for setting up projects, reviewing contracts, and ensuring timely submission of monthly pay applications.


As a Construction Billing Specialist, you will work closely with our project managers and general contractor counterparts to resolve any billing issues and provide exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain accurate AIA billing and CCIP reporting
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly pay applications
  • Investigate and resolve any billing issues
  • Develop strong working relationships with project managers and general contractor counterparts
  • Provide documentation such as insurance certificates and lien releases
  • Work collection reports to ensure timely cash flow
  • Maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Utilize computer to process reports and perform high-volume data-entry
  • Provide support for accounting audits


Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction accounting
  • Ability to process high-volume data with accuracy
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Punctual
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Exceptional accounting skills
  • Consistent work history
