Family Housing Support Specialist

CAMBA's The Landing Family Shelter, located in Queens, NY, is seeking a skilled Family Housing Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive support services to families in need. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $16 hourly and a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role

  • Assist clients in developing daily living skills through individual and group activities, including laundry, meal preparation, and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain inventory of food and dry goods.
  • Provide clients with an orientation of the facility and its services upon arrival.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Must sign an NYC DOH/MH attestation stating that they have not been the subject of a founded child abuse report.
  • Participate in Department of Health Food Protection 15-hour course, pass exam, and become a certified Food Handler.

Additional Information

The Residential Aide works under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor. Compensation includes $16 hourly, paid time off (vacation, personal, and sick time), paid holidays, and health insurance.
