Electrical Design Specialist

Job Overview
Lonestar Electric Supply is a leading provider of electrical solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer-Design to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing code-compliant lighting and control systems for various clients.
About the Role
- You will work closely with our sales team to understand project goals and requirements.
- You will design, takeoff, create project deliverables, and submittals using Lonestar CAD standards and common practices.
- You will utilize CRM to input Bill of Materials into our system to quote or price within Lonestar Stock or with Lonestar Vendor Partners.
- You will deliver all quotes and project design submittals to clients in a timely manner.
- You will maintain pricing updates for Projects and communicate regularly with clients.
- You will answer and respond to all client inquiries.
- You will participate in project meetings, both in-person and virtually.
- You will program and troubleshoot Lighting Control Systems.
- You will conduct field visits to obtain or communicate project design specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field (design or electrical).
- Industry experience preferred but not required, especially in Lighting and Lighting Controls.
- Familiarity and confidence with Computer Aided Design software and drafting standards, AutoCAD/Agi32.
- Experience using Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with Excel.
- Ability to interface with clients on a professional and personal level.
- Responsive and passionate about customer service.
- Ability to manage an email account in Outlook.
- Highly adaptable and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to own project design from start to finish independently.
- Coordinate multiple projects with various entities at one time.
- Able to manage and support multiple client accounts and standards.
- Focused on meeting deadlines.
