About the Role

As a key member of our water treatment team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our water supply. Your responsibilities will include operating and monitoring all pumps, chemical stations, reservoirs, water towers, filters, and electrical instrumentation.

You will inspect equipment and track operating conditions, meters, and gauges to assess load requirements and identify any malfunctions. Additionally, you will collect and test water samples using specialized testing equipment to maintain compliance with safety standards.

Your role will also involve operating and adjusting controls to clarify water and manage sludge disposal processes. You'll handle various chemicals, including ammonia, chlorine, sodium chlorite, aluminum sulfate, and copper sulfate, to effectively disinfect and deodorize water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor all pumps, chemical stations, reservoirs, water towers, filters, and electrical instrumentation.
  • Inspect equipment and track operating conditions, meters, and gauges to assess load requirements and identify any malfunctions.
  • Collect and test water samples using specialized testing equipment to maintain compliance with safety standards.
  • Operate and adjust controls to clarify water and manage sludge disposal processes.
Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. A diverse skill set is essential, including:

  • Able to monitor panel boards and adjust controls to regulate flow rates, water tower levels, and distribution pressure.
  • Familiarity with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with data management systems, as well as operating plant PLCs and SCADA systems.
