About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team at ECS Limited. As a Construction Materials Testing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials used in various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations, testing, and sampling of materials, including soils, aggregates, and concrete, on construction materials testing project sites.
  • Execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers.
  • Perform routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance.
  • Collect and analyze data, perform calculations, and document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
  • Maintain daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers, and assist with organization of field equipment.

Requirements
  • No prior experience is required, but a high school diploma or GED is necessary.
  • You must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds and have a valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing, are essential for this role.
  • You will work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors, and be willing to develop an understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
