About the Department

Novo Nordisk's Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx) team is responsible for designing, planning, and building new aseptic filling capacity across the company. This team is part of Product Supply, Quality & IT, which employs approximately 20,000 of Novo Nordisk's 50,000 employees globally.

FFEx is a newly established and growing area, with a global approach that involves working with multiple sites and cultures across the world. As a Construction Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable, hands-on experience in project and construction management.

The Program

Our internship program includes instructor-led trainings, a leadership engagement series, and insightful lunch and learns. You will be immersed in the environment of a global pharmaceutical company and contribute to the line of business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work.

Scope of Position

The Construction Management Intern will provide support to Project Managers, Construction Managers, and the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department as part of the Fill Finish Expansion project in Clayton. You will be exposed to all aspects of project and construction management, including site-specific safety programs.

Your tasks will include observing construction activities in the field, comparing field work to requirements of safety, quality, and schedule, performing red line drawing updates, and performing quality inspections of received equipment and material.

Accountabilities

As a Construction Management Intern, you will be responsible for conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, preparing and reviewing documents, reports, and presentations. You will also learn and support relevant processes, standards, and policies, and apply and adhere to all Standard Operating Processes (SOPs), policies, and environmental, health, and safety requirements.

You will work with, observe, assist, and collaborate with and learn from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and participate in team meetings, complete assigned trainings, and meet and network with other interns.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship, you must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. You should have a strong academic record with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be a conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail.

You should also be able to balance multiple projects and priorities, and have strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills. You should be able to operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers, and have demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
