Job Title: Field Technician

At Synergy Equipment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks. You will diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions, ensuring that our customers receive top-quality service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to ensure proper working condition
  • Perform routine equipment clean-up and upkeep, as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspections
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, recondition, and adjust heavy equipment as required, and complete all necessary paperwork
  • Participate in training programs directed by the Service Manager
  • Bring any shop tools, equipment, or vehicles that are not in a serviceable condition or unsafe to use to the attention of the Service Manager
  • Maintain tools in good working order, adhering to MSHA and OSHA regulations
  • Complete basic computer tasks, including completing work orders, looking up parts, and communicating via email
  • Communicate with coworkers and customers to ensure top-quality equipment is always available and customer expectations are exceeded
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
  • Tie workflow to schedule
  • Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner and use field automation systems
  • Follow all company field procedures and protocols
  • Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Exhibit strong teamwork
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment
  • Proven field service experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
Work Environment:

The work environment is consistent with that of construction, heavy equipment, and repair yards. You may work in extreme conditions on job sites, and the position may require several hours of driving daily to job sites.

Physical Demands:

You must be physically able to work in a jobsite environment for extensive periods, including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching. Night/weekend on-call work is required.
