Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Manager NICU is responsible for managing and supervising nursing departments, ensuring excellent patient care, achieving financial objectives, and fostering leadership development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement departmental structure, processes, and outcome standards.
  • Collaborate with nursing leaders and other facility managers and departments.
  • Manage budgets, ensure employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and competency verification.
  • Champion the use of available resources to ensure nursing care is efficient, effective, safe, and delivered with compassion.
  • Facilitate collaborative decision-making and upholds professional independence.
  • Model and foster an environment of professionalism and employee engagement on the unit.
  • Ensure competent and sufficient number of staff to meet patient care needs.
  • Evaluate staff competency through use of performance reviews and peer reviews.
  • Coordinate performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives.
  • Partner with physicians at the unit level to achieve clinical, operational, and service goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Leadership/supervisory experience.
  • 2 years clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialty Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in the area of oversight.
