Job Summary
An experienced Medical Assistant with Full Scope certification is needed to provide exceptional patient care in our West Grand Clinic Family Medicine department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaint.
- Perform routine tests, including EKGs, hearing, and vision screens, as requested by providers.
- Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up as necessary.
- Communicate test results to patients and establish a plan of care by phone or mail as directed by the provider.
- Document patient plans of care, tests, and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and dispose of contaminated items according to protocol.
- Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines as needed.
- Ensure safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required.
- Perform clinical diagnostic x-rays and prepare completed studies for provider review.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current/valid registration by the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
- Current Full Scope certification and State Licensure.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum of 3 months of previous experience in a healthcare setting.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients and navigate crowded rooms. Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently interact with patients, staff, and visitors.
Work Environment
This position is located in the West Grand Clinic Family Medicine department and requires regular interaction with patients, staff, and visitors.
