We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced President/CEO to lead our client, the Tom Ridge Environmental Center Foundation (TRECF), in achieving its mission of enhancing educational programming, research, and visitor experience in the Great Lakes region.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of partnering with stakeholders, including staff, Board members, and external partners, to drive strategic planning and implementation. Key responsibilities include managing organizational policies, overseeing finances, developing fundraising plans, and creating effective communication strategies.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create a strategic plan for TRECF in partnership with the Board and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement fundraising plans to secure annual funding and capital campaign support.
  • Direct and oversee the organization's finances, including donations, expenses, and debt structure.
  • Prepare and recommend annual budgets to the Board.
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Represent TRECF at community meetings and events related to projects, mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain updated job descriptions for all positions within the organization.
  • Review and modify staffing and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in business administration, public administration, or organizational leadership desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, writing, and public speaking.
  • High level of financial acumen and understanding of accounting standards, controls, and best practices.
  • Ability to think strategically and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
