SSM Health seeks a skilled Director to lead the Emergency Department, Trauma, and Observation Care services. As a key member of our nursing administration team, you will be responsible for directing clinical activities, staffing, and budget management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives aligned with medical, administrative, and legal requirements.
- Direct clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, and complaint management.
- Plan, organize, and direct staffing initiatives, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and continuing education.
- Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure efficient operation within allocated funds.
- Coordinate and direct internal and external audits.
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
- Three years of registered nurse experience, with one year in direct people management/leadership.
- Experience as an ED RN and/or ED leader.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Wisconsin or a compact state.
