Director of Emergency Department Operations

As a Director of Nursing for the Emergency Department, Trauma and Observation Care at SSM Health, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals in providing exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives that align with the organization's mission and vision.
- Direct clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, and service level determination.
- Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare and monitor budgets and ensure that assigned nursing areas operate within allocated funds.
- Coordinate and direct internal and externally-driven audits.
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field; Bachelor's degree in Nursing if Master's is not in Nursing.
- Three years' registered nurse experience, with one year in direct people management/leadership.
- Experience as an ED RN and/or ED leader.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA), and Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services or Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State.
