Warehouse Workers, LLC. is seeking a Production Operations Director to lead our production team in achieving high-quality product output while maintaining plant efficiency and safety standards.

Job Description

The Production Operations Director will be responsible for developing and implementing key manufacturing plans to achieve budgeted unit cost and output objectives. This includes coordinating activities across all manufacturing functional areas to ensure alignment with plant goals and customer quality requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will maintain and enhance production capacity, develop contingency plans, and implement strategies to minimize inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Key Manufacturing Plans: The Production Operations Director will create and execute manufacturing plans to meet budgeted unit cost and output objectives.
  • Coordinate Activities Across Manufacturing Functional Areas: The incumbent will ensure alignment with plant goals and customer quality requirements by coordinating activities across all manufacturing functional areas.
  • Maintain and Enhance Production Capacity: The Production Operations Director will develop and implement strategies to maximize production capacity and minimize inventory levels.
  • Develop and Monitor the Annual Operating Budget: The incumbent will create and monitor the annual operating budget to measure progress toward plant objectives.
  • Stay Updated on Production Methods, Regulatory Requirements, and Analytical Techniques: The Production Operations Director will stay informed on the latest production methods, regulatory requirements, and analytical techniques and create improvement action plans as needed.
  • Lead and Develop Plant Personnel: The incumbent will lead and develop plant personnel through recruitment, training, and coaching, fostering a team-based environment.
  • Implement and Manage Safety and Regulatory Programs: The Production Operations Director will implement and manage safety and regulatory programs to ensure long-term safe operations.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Quality Assurance: The incumbent will collaborate with Purchasing and Quality Assurance to establish and monitor quality specifications for raw materials.
  • Assist Quality Assurance: The Production Operations Director will assist Quality Assurance with the development and improvement of products and processes, overseeing experimental runs and reporting results.
  • Manage Inventory of Off-Spec Materials: The incumbent will manage the inventory of off-spec materials and coordinate rework processes as necessary.
  • Oversee Maintenance of Production Logs and OEE Systems: The Production Operations Director will oversee the maintenance of production logs and OEE systems to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: The incumbent will ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to the manufacture of food-grade products.
  • Build and Maintain Positive Relationships: The Production Operations Director will build and maintain positive relationships with the local community and manage Business Development Managers and Customer Service teams.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
