Job Description:The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations in the region, including commercial order processing and yard operations.
This role involves strategic alignment of all operations functions across the region to ensure consistency and efficiency.
The Regional Operations Manager will directly manage branch-level operations managers and report to the Director of Operations and indirectly to the Regional Director.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of branch operations in the region.
- Directly manage operations managers on a branch level and ensure their needs are met.
- Partner with the Regional Director for strategic alignment.
- Align processing and improvement through operational KPIs, regional budgets, CapEx, and cost tracking.
- Create and execute consistent process execution across all branches.
- Oversee and manage safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.
- Review internal procedures, recommend process improvements, and ensure compliance with existing corporate processes and standards.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR for recruiting, onboarding, integrating, and training needs.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and implement efficient tracking systems.
- Manage the P&L Cost Center and DOH in alignment with Area Managers.
- Continually manage operational skills and competency needs.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team in a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, preferred concentration in Operations, Controlling/Finance, or Logistics.
- Recent management experience in administration, operations, or logistics.
- Ability to facilitate projects and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, including English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Qualitative abilities, including analytical skills, technical proficiency, strategic mindset, negotiation skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel required.
- Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts, and techniques.
