Position Summary

The Inventory Control Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining precise inventory levels at PSI. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate counts, maintaining location integrity, and ensuring transactional precision for both our fleet and warehouse operations from our expanding office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and schedule monthly inventory audits for both the fleet and warehouse.
  • Ensure accountability among technicians and warehouse personnel regarding inventory accuracy.
  • Perform monthly equipment inventories.
  • Oversee the execution of comprehensive physical counts for the warehouse and fleet on a bi-annual basis.
  • Assist in reconciling full physical count discrepancies.
  • Update inventory counts in management software.
  • Maintain accurate physical inventory records for both the fleet and warehouse.
  • Generate reports detailing cycle count and full count variances, both in terms of value and quantity.
  • Conduct quarterly audits to ensure materials are stored correctly at all times.
  • Facilitate inventory transfers in management software as required.
  • Manage the layout mapping for truck stocking and bins.
  • Oversee the setup of new vehicle inventory to ensure timely integration into the fleet.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and communicate potential risks.
  • Identify and manage items with low or no usage in stock.
  • Handle the removal of obsolete inventory items.
  • Manage out-of-box items effectively.
  • Assist in loading and unloading parts and equipment.
  • Operate a box truck and utilize a lift gate and pallet jack.
  • Organize parts and equipment securely for safe transport.
  • Verify orders to ensure accuracy in items, quantities, and conditions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and fleet.
  • Receive, restock, and conduct inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to address inventory issues promptly.
  • Support the maintenance of a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with internal stakeholders.
  • Exhibit resourcefulness and a proactive approach.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid driving record with insurability.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, capable of working independently to achieve objectives.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Safety is paramount; knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA standards is essential.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and use hands for various tasks.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Regular lifting and moving of 50+ lbs is necessary.
  • Work conditions may vary seasonally, requiring outdoor work.
  • This role typically operates Monday through Friday with occasional on-call responsibilities.

The compensation for this role ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, depending on relevant experience and skills, along with performance-based incentives. Additional benefits may be included as part of the overall compensation package.
