Position Summary:
This role operates within the Outpatient Department, supporting patients and medical personnel in an ambulatory care environment. The responsibilities encompass the overall management of clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical services in collaboration with providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality care, efficient resource utilization, and adherence to SEARHC standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to clinic personnel, ensuring smooth operations across all clinic functions, including patient care and front desk management.
- Manage medication inventory and supplies not included in the Warehouse PAR system.
- Conduct necessary quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
- Accurately document all care and services rendered in a timely and professional manner.
- Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the clinics.
- Assist providers and staff proactively to ensure optimal patient care.
- Facilitate effective communication with other departments to serve as a resource for patients, providers, and clinic staff.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state is mandatory.
- Direct hires must have applied for an Alaska nursing license prior to commencement.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Preferred: 1 year of acute care experience.
- Preferred: 6 months of experience in addiction services.
- Understanding of the nursing process and its application in practice.
- Familiarity with customer service principles.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols.
- Adept at performing assessments, anticipating needs, and collecting specimens.
- Proficient in using computers and medical equipment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to educate others when appropriate.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to foster positive working relationships.
- Openness to seeking assistance when faced with new or challenging situations.
