Position Summary:
This role operates within the Outpatient Department, supporting patients and medical personnel in an ambulatory care environment, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical services in collaboration with providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to SEARHC standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to clinic staff, ensuring the efficient operation of all clinic functions, including patient care and front desk activities.
  • Manage medication inventory and supplies not included in the Warehouse PAR system.
  • Conduct necessary quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
  • Document all care and services accurately and promptly, fulfilling nursing duties with professionalism.
  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the clinics.
  • Assist providers and other staff as required, anticipating their needs to enhance patient care quality.
  • Facilitate effective communication with other departments to serve as a resource for patients, providers, and clinic staff.
Qualifications:
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
  • Preferred: 1 year of acute care experience.
  • Preferred: 6 months of experience in addiction services.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of the nursing process and its application in a clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with customer service principles.
  • Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols.
Competencies:
  • Adept at conducting assessments, anticipating needs, and collecting specimens.
  • Proficient in using medical equipment and computer systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
