Cardiac Imaging Specialist

Position Overview
Summit Health is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Cardiac Imaging Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts a variety of non-invasive diagnostic tests utilizing ultrasound technology.
- Delivers high-quality echocardiographic images, ensuring correct perspectives and precise measurements for various echo assessments.
- Timely reports any irregularities to the supervising physician.
- Clarifies and adheres to physician directives.
- Completes tasks within designated timeframes.
- Evaluates patients for possible risk factors.
- Oversees patient care and safety, maintaining a secure, clean, and organized environment.
- Informs and educates patients about procedures.
- Follows established departmental protocols for all procedures.
- Ensures accurate patient identification and confidentiality.
- Acts as an advocate for patients, upholding their rights.
- Responds effectively to emergency situations.
- Complies with infection control protocols.
- Accurately documents patient history and demographic information.
- Prioritizes tasks and adjusts priorities based on evolving circumstances.
- Communicates efficiently with other departments.
- Utilizes task management effectively and in a timely manner.
- Reports any equipment issues promptly and ensures routine quality checks are performed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 0-1 years of relevant experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Cardiac Ultrasound and related testing equipment.
- Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Comprehension of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
- Effective problem-solving, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
- Experience with standard office technology and equipment.
- Familiarity with Cardiac Testing and Ultrasound Equipment, MUSE system, Electronic Health Records, and Practice Management Systems.
