POSITION OVERVIEW
A Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in the commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting of medium voltage electrical switchgear and associated equipment. This position involves providing emergency service and mechanical repairs while ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist in the start-up and commissioning of medium voltage electrical switchgear.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and sales teams.
* Evaluate equipment operating conditions and provide effective solutions.
* Manage personal schedules with self-motivation and efficiency.
* Conduct general and preventive maintenance on switchgear systems.
* Respond promptly to emergency service requests from clients.
* Aim for a 'first time fix' approach to all service calls.
* Ensure timely and accurate communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in medium voltage switchgear or field service roles.
* Solid understanding of electrical theory and technologies.
* Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and schematic reading.
* Knowledge of power distribution and practical troubleshooting skills.
* Experience with PLC and HMI programming is advantageous.
* Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in standard computer applications (MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Valid driver's license is mandatory.

EDUCATION
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
* Frequent standing, kneeling, crawling, and climbing are required.
* Must be comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and noise levels.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
* Willingness to travel 60% to 80% based on job location.
