Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Job Summary:
A highly skilled Enterprise Architect is sought to design and implement technology solutions for data modernization in a public health setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in system architecture, cloud services, and cybersecurity measures.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a technical roadmap for data modernization that aligns with the CDC's vision and priorities
• Architect robust, scalable, and secure data systems that can handle the demands of modern public health surveillance
• Drive innovative solutions to enhance data collection, analysis, and dissemination for better public health decision-making
• Provide technical guidance and support, ensuring the effective use of modern data technologies

Requirements:
• Hands-on experience in a technical role, such as Software Developer, Systems Analyst, or Network Engineer, building a technical foundation
• Proficiency in programming languages, database management, system design, networking, cloud services, DevOps practices, and cybersecurity measures
• Ability to lead teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong strategic planning and road mapping experience; ability to outline technological direction, assess the impact of new technologies, and ensure IT strategy aligns with business objectives
• Proficiency in modeling and diagramming tools, and different methodologies for designing IT systems
• Experience integrating various systems to create cohesive solutions that meet organizational needs
• Knowledge of security protocols and measures to protect sensitive public health data
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies to improve system deployment and operational efficiency
• Experience performing analysis, design, documentation, and implementation of organizational enterprise architecture structural frameworks to align IT strategy, plans, and systems; ability to conduct impact analysis studies (cloud infrastructure and cloud networking design) and identify improvements to technical problems, including designing potential solutions
• Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) information and analytics platforms and products, such as DataBricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, AWS, PowerBI, and/or Tableau, among others
• Experience in public or government health industry
• Leadership experience in projects involving system architecture preferred
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required; A Master's Degree in a relevant field and/or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certifications preferred
