Job Summary

Nidec Minster Corporation is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in the Michigan region. As a key member of our service team, you will provide technical support to our customers, ensuring their metal forming equipment operates at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission new and remanufactured metal forming equipment in customer plants, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Audit customers' equipment, identifying repair requirements and providing written and oral reports in a professional manner.
  • Provide technical and maintenance support to customers, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Promote service offerings, including training, parts, equipment upgrades, and service agreements, to enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
  • Work flexible hours to support customer service needs, with extensive travel required within the Michigan region.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of machinery mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance processes.
  • Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrating excellent communication skills to interact with customers, engineers, and technical support personnel.
  • Residency in the Michigan region or willingness to relocate to the area, with an ideal candidate located near Detroit, Lansing, or Grand Rapids.
