Key Responsibilities:

The Centralized Maintenance Specialist is responsible for executing make-ready tasks across a portfolio of Equity Residential apartment communities, ensuring exceptional move-in experiences and fostering resident satisfaction and loyalty. This role encompasses various maintenance duties, including painting, repairs, and carpet cleaning, while adhering to established make-ready standards. Additionally, the Specialist may support on-site teams with scheduled maintenance tasks and emergency services.

• Conducts a range of maintenance activities, which may include plumbing, electrical work, light carpentry, re-keying locks, and HVAC repairs.

• Prepares apartments for market readiness, focusing on painting, carpet cleaning, and general repairs to guarantee a positive move-in experience for residents.

• Utilizes management software to track progress on assigned tasks effectively.

• Ensures proper care and maintenance of all company tools, equipment, and vehicles.

Scheduled Maintenance Duties:

• Reports maintenance issues for vacant units and common areas to the Service Manager.

• Participates in scheduled maintenance programs and logs activities accordingly.

• Maintains knowledge of relevant housing laws and internal maintenance policies.

Qualifications for Success:
  • Experience in residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Proficient in computer use and effective communication
  • Understanding of housing regulations
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Access to a smartphone
Compensation: $20.24 - $24.73 per hour, based on relevant skills and experience.
