Position Overview
The Senior Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role within the Accounting & Finance division, engaging in reconciliations, month-end closing activities, journal entry preparation, variance analysis, and internal management reporting.
This position presents a significant opportunity for professional development as we enhance our accounting department and pursue ongoing process improvements.
Work Arrangement
This is a Hybrid position, with remote work available on designated days and onsite collaboration on others.
Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in the month-end closing process, including the preparation of journal entries, supporting documentation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Ensure that all necessary financial data is accurately captured, reconciled, documented, and disclosed in accordance with accounting standards.
3. Prepare financial reporting and/or analysis as required.
4. Maintain compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.
5. Develop and implement solutions aimed at enhancing accounting efficiencies.
6. Provide assistance during the annual audit process, as needed.
7. Serve as a backup for accounts payable and/or accounts receivable tasks.
8. Assist with special projects and additional functions as required.
