Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our team at Alice Peck Day Health Systems. As a primary care physician, you will provide continuing and comprehensive care to geriatric patients, addressing their complex medical needs and promoting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage the care of geriatric patients with complex medical problems and co-morbidities.
  • Provide home care to frail elderly patients who qualify for such care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and imaging studies, and provide appropriate treatment to patients.
  • Document patient history, physical exams, laboratory and imaging studies, and treatment in the medical record.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in staff education and clinical Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Unrestricted NH and VT Medical License.
  • Current DEA license.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Subspecialty Board Certified or eligible for subspecialty certification in Geriatric Medicine.
