Job Responsibilities
Our Custodial Staff is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of airport facilities, which includes terminals, restrooms, and public spaces. This position involves various cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management, creating a welcoming environment for travelers and personnel. Adherence to health and safety standards is essential, along with the effective use of cleaning products and equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting maintenance concerns and ensuring that cleaning supplies are adequately stocked.
WORKING AS CUSTODIAL STAFF
· Collaborate with team members towards shared objectives
· Conduct general cleaning tasks across multiple airport areas, including terminals, restrooms, and offices
· Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
· Manage waste disposal and empty trash receptacles
· Sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies
· Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and windows
· Maintain floors, walkways, and stairways through sweeping and mopping
· Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies or spills
· Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed
· Comply with all safety and health regulations regarding cleaning and chemical usage
· Report any maintenance needs or repairs
· Exhibit strong attention to detail
· Enjoy working collaboratively or independently to achieve tasks
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
· Capability to lift 70 pounds or more
· Ability to hear and respond to spoken instructions and alarms
· Visual acuity for close and distant vision, color differentiation, and depth perception
Qualifications
· Minimum age of 18 years
· Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
· Basic ability to follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures
· Previous experience in custodial or cleaning roles is preferred
· Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment usage
· Physical capability to perform manual tasks for extended durations
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Comfortable using computers and mobile devices
· Ability to pass a drug screening
· Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances
