In this role, you will oversee the effective management of HCM-focused technical implementations, process enhancements, and product improvement initiatives.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven history in project oversight, technology deployment, and operational excellence.
  • You will spearhead initiatives aimed at refining processes and executing IT projects that enhance productivity, quality, and employee satisfaction.
  • Your responsibilities will include developing project plans, identifying HCM business needs, designing processes and functionalities, prototyping, testing, training, and establishing support protocols.
  • Accountable for the comprehensive management, monitoring, and reporting of project timelines and activities, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, project teams, and diverse stakeholders to effectively manage risks, resolve challenges, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental meetings and coordinate implementation schedules, partnering with other project managers, functional specialists, and business collaborators.
  • Prepare stakeholder communications, project documentation, and schedules.
  • Oversee project financials, assessing projects against approved financial objectives and benefit targets, and create action plans to address discrepancies while managing change controls and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Develop and present project plans, status updates, and metrics on testing progress, defect management, and project dependencies.
  • Identify opportunities for organizational improvement and champion change initiatives.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor HCM technology projects with a focus on customer experience, supportability, and seamless operational transition.
  • Lead training sessions and events that foster knowledge sharing and skill development among team members.
Required Skills and Expertise:
  • Experience managing HCM within ERP Cloud Solutions such as Workday, Oracle Cloud HCM, Infor, or SAP S4/HANA.

  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and methodologies.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to effectively solve problems.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to stakeholders and teams.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution AND five years of recent project management experience with increasing responsibility AND eligibility for Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Online, and Visio.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in state work environments.
  • Background in ERP Cloud solutions.
  • Experience in HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and/or learning management.
  • PMP certification.
  • A degree in a related field with 8+ years of professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager.
