Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of packaging initiatives to ensure they are completed on schedule, aligning with both internal and supplier timelines. Ensure that packaging provides a positive user experience while meeting cost, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Specification Development: Create and revise packaging specifications as necessary. Clearly document the appropriate application of packaging materials to products, including stacking protocols for pallets and safe storage procedures in warehouses.
  • Design and Prototyping: Generate 2D CAD illustrations and 3D models. Evaluate, test, and select packaging materials based on their durability, environmental impact, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring compliance with standards. Collaborate with external partners to innovate packaging solutions or automated packaging systems.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with the global sustainability team to spearhead U.S. projects focused on improving packaging sustainability, while exploring new materials and processes to meet corporate goals.
  • Testing and Validation: Oversee technical services related to packaging testing, including analysis and verification of both new and existing products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, specifically with plastics and corrugated materials.
  • Proven project management skills with a strong attention to detail and the capability to juggle multiple high-priority projects concurrently, while effectively guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with 2D drafting and CAD (preferably 3D ArtiosCAD, but not mandatory). Familiarity with TOPS/CAPE software is advantageous.
