Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental health needs.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and research methods.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including crisis intervention and stabilization.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Develop and conduct psychoeducational classes and groups to promote mental health awareness and education.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring quality and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment and participate in the department on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity, with a commitment to quality of service and teamwork.
