Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide high-quality mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental health needs.
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses to identify treatment needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to members and their families to promote adherence to treatment plans.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V and evidence-based practice principles.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a mental health professional in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Experience with crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and treatment planning.
  • Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
