Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to our members. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing effective treatment plans, providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and conducting crisis interventions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each member, incorporating evidence-based practices and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches to promote positive change and growth.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Conduct crisis interventions and provide support to members and their families during times of need.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, contributing to the advancement of mental health services and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards related to member treatment, patient rights, and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
