Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to our members. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing effective treatment plans, providing individual, family, and group therapy, and ensuring seamless care coordination.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses of members' mental health needs, developing personalized treatment plans to address their unique challenges.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy, including individual, family, and group sessions, to promote mental wellness and resilience.
  • Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and lead psychoeducational classes and groups to empower members with the skills and knowledge needed to manage their mental health.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation to continuously improve mental health services.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments to maintain expertise and provide exceptional care.

Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare teams.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, Evidence-Based Practice, and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment and participate in the department on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-licensure experience as a mental health professional in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Experience with crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
  • Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
