Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Vascular Imaging Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing essential patient and provider support through the use of advanced ultrasound imaging technologies. The successful candidate will perform examinations for various vascular conditions, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine vascular ultrasound examinations as directed by physicians, adhering to established protocols.
- Evaluate and interpret ultrasound findings in accordance with current guidelines from recognized professional organizations.
- Assist in maintaining accreditation and quality improvement initiatives for vascular imaging services.
- Review patient medical histories to gather necessary information for diagnostic procedures.
- Address patient inquiries regarding imaging procedures and equipment prior to examinations.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment to achieve optimal diagnostic results.
- Participate in staff meetings and fulfill continuing education requirements to support professional development.
The ideal candidate will possess certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS). New graduates from accredited cardiac ultrasound programs are expected to obtain ARDMS/CCI certification within one year of graduation. Additionally, individuals cross-trained in vascular ultrasound must achieve certification within two years of starting their training.
