Job Description
The Cardiovascular Testing department at WakeMed utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and employs skilled Registered Cardiovascular Sonographers to perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures. These professionals must demonstrate expertise in operating ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of the cardiovascular system, adhering to established guidelines and departmental policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment to visualize and record cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
- Operate equipment to capture high-quality images of the cardiovascular system, adhering to established guidelines and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques to maintain proficiency and expertise.
Requirements
- 1 year of clinical experience in ultrasound required.
- Graduate degree in Cardiac Ultrasound or Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound, or Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Sonography, or equivalent education and experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification required.
Work Schedule
- Days
- Every third weekend
- No call requirements
