Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at Omak School District 19. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to students with special needs in a virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a virtual learning environment
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education
Requirements
  • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate in Special Education
  • Strong content and subject-matter knowledge
  • Ability to support and guide adults as well as students
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and experience using them in a professional capacity
