Job Summary:

The Colville Tribes is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in the Resource Room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized instruction programs for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Participate in Special Education meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Proof of degree, certifications, and three written letters of recommendation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of State Common Core Standards and standard-based instruction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and subordinates.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
