Job Overview

The Public Areas Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the resort's public spaces. This position requires a commitment to exceptional service and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

General Duties:

  • Consistently uphold the Welk High Five service standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and departmental procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Report to work on time and adhere to the attendance policy.
  • Contribute ideas for service and operational improvements.

Departmental Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and comply with the uniform policy.
  • Ensure all assigned areas are clean and well-maintained, including carpet and patio care.
  • Utilize provided equipment effectively and maintain it in good condition.
  • Complete assigned checklists within designated timelines.
  • Collaborate courteously with staff from various departments.
  • Follow safety guidelines for all equipment usage.
  • Meet deadlines for service delivery.
  • Accurately execute requests from dispatch.
  • Report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to guidelines.
  • Operate a golf cart safely, adhering to driving regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all restrooms throughout the property.
  • Conduct proper waste disposal and vacuuming in assigned offices.
  • Safely handle and return lost and found items to the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with six months to one year of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operational instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and effectively communicating with groups.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

This role requires standing, walking, and frequent physical activity. The associate must be able to lift and move items up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:

Associates may be exposed to various weather conditions and must be prepared to work in a moderate noise environment.
