Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at VSR Industries. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and fabricated parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow technical documentation such as build guides, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble mechanical components and fabricated products.
  • Perform assembly tasks with experience and proficiency at most of the mechanical assembly and sub-assembly stations.
  • Perform calibration tests on parts and mechanisms for tolerance levels and quality; identifies failed quality and out of tolerance units, and repairs as necessary.
  • Plan and perform work relying on experience and judgement along with guidance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Assist in other areas on the production floor as needed.
  • Assist in training new assemblers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • No experience needed, will train.
  • Ability in using tools (e.g. drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods of time.
  • Maintains excellent attendance.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required

Physical Demands
