Position Title: Dining Server - Part-Time

Job Overview: As a Dining Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to residents by taking food and beverage orders in a courteous and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver meals in compliance with health regulations, ensuring they are visually appealing and served at the appropriate temperature.
  • Maintain cleanliness in dining areas by promptly clearing and sanitizing tables, chairs, and surrounding surfaces.
  • Support the upkeep of all work and storage spaces, ensuring they are safe and orderly at all times.
  • Serve food from the steam table to the dining area as required.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as assigned.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any incidents involving residents or staff.
  • Utilize various communication methods as directed by supervisors to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Embrace the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and align with the mission of Catholic Charities.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Previous experience in food service is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to:

  • Regularly engage in activities such as sitting, standing, walking, and communicating effectively.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally perform tasks that require bending or kneeling.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Adaptability to changing situations and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain focus on tasks.
  • Dependability in following instructions and completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents and team members.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
