Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
• Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
• Monitor patients' conditions, identifying and responding to changes or complications, and taking appropriate action to prevent or mitigate harm.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• BSN degree or higher from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU or critical care setting.
• Certification in area of specialty (e.g., CCRN, CCN) preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
